it's a chocolate lover's dream come true - new research shows it can help alleviate pain. and, if you prefer a stricter diet, sipping water will do the trick just as well!

these natural ways of beating pain were discovered through testing on rats, but researchers believe the same effect is true for humans. the research, carried out by a team from the university of chicago, was published in the respected 'journal of neuroscience'.
